Intro to Mr. Vicks

Greetings, My name is Mr. Vicks I am the 8th Grade Counselor at Dutchtown Middle School. I am from Cairo, Georgia, but have lived in California, Virginia, Atlanta, and Macon, Georgia. I am a graduate of THE Fort Valley State University with a major in Political Science. I also minored in Music Performance as well as Mass Communications. During my time at FVSU, I was Drum Major of the Blue machine Marching Band in 1998 & 2001, as well as a student director in 2002. I am a graduate of Liberty University majoring in School Counseling in 2016,
Before my current path to education, I was in retail management with various companies. I was an Executive Assistant Manager with Walgreens from 2003-2007. I was a Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager with Dollar General from 2008-2009. From 2009-2012 I was an assistant manager with Harbor Freight Tools.
I have been a counselor since 2016 in Bibb County at Appling Middle School.I also served as the PBIS Coach at Appling Middle School.
